Petrichor: the smell of the earth after a summer rain shower. Imagine a magical scene with tiny toadstools hiding small creatures that play among the dripping blades of sweet summer grass, surrounded with the scents of fresh earth and moss and cedar.

Made from high quality clean-burning soy wax and premium non-toxic scents and essential oils in a green recycled-glass square apothecary jar with a natural cork lid. This handcrafted candle is sustainably and lovingly made in our cozy Kentucky workshop.

SCENT DESCRIPTION: (fresh + earthy) sweet summer grasses, cedar and moss, toadstools and freshly turned earth, ozone and dripping green leaves. Includes essential oils of patchouli, cypress, galbanum, cedarwood, sandalwood, and vetiver.

  • The first time you burn your new candle, let it burn until the wax melts all the way across the candle, around 2-3 hours. This will prevent tunneling (melting only down the center of the candle).
  • Trim the wick to 1/4 inch (break off the burned part) each time the candle is lit. This helps prevent the flame from getting too large and helps your candle to last longer. 
  • Keep lit candles away from drafts, ceiling fans, and any air currents. This will help your candle to last longer.
  • Never leave a burning candle unattended. Extinguish all candles when you leave a room or before going to sleep.
  • Follow the 2-foot rule: don't place a burning candle near clothing, books, curtains or anything flammable.
  • Place candles on a stable, heat-resistant surface.
  • A candle should not be burned for more than four hours at a time.

  • Don’t burn a candle all the way down. For a margin of safety, discontinue burning a candle when 1/2 inch of wax remains in the container.
