Treat your favorite bookish friends with this dark academia gift box! It contains everything they need to set the mood as they get lost in a good book.

Included is a scented candle in a literary theme, a decorative glass bottle of white-tipped matches, and a custom-designed card with a variety of messages that doubles as a bookmark.

Your choice of message will be printed on a card beneath beautiful, vintage style botanical artwork. If you would like for your bookmark/card to say something different, just choose the "custom" option and leave us a note in the personalization box.

The gift boxes can be wrapped in simple black twine at no charge, or add a gift tag with their name written by hand on it for just a little more. If you choose to add a hand-lettered name tag, leave the names you need in the personalization box.

CANDLE SCENTS
(if you have a preference, enter your choice in the personalization box)

• rainy day reading - toasted marshmallow and soft woodsmoke of charred oak (sweet + smoky)

• library - old book pages in a worn leather armchair, a wood-burning fireplace, and a cup of coffee (musky + sophisticated)

• fireplace - woodsmoke of burning cedar and sandalwood, warm clove and amber (warm + smoky)

• oatmilk latte - strong coffee with creamy oatmilk, vanilla and caramel (sweet + rich)

• forest fog - just-rained scents of ozone, lavender and mint over soft green moss, mineral-rich earth, and a touch of juniper. (fresh, masculine)

Candle burn time and dimensions: 4 oz. candle, approximately 20-hour burn/2.5"W, 2.5"H. The gift boxes measure 4"x4"x3". Each bottle of matches contains 20 matches.

  • The first time you burn your new candle, let it burn until the wax melts all the way across the candle, around 2-3 hours. This will prevent tunneling (melting only down the center of the candle).
  • Trim the wick to 1/4 inch (break off the burned part) each time the candle is lit. This helps prevent the flame from getting too large and helps your candle to last longer.
  • Keep lit candles away from drafts, ceiling fans, and any air currents. This will help your candle to last longer.
  • Never leave a burning candle unattended. Extinguish all candles when you leave a room or before going to sleep.
  • Follow the 2-foot rule: don't place a burning candle near clothing, books, curtains or anything flammable.
  • Place candles on a stable, heat-resistant surface.
  • A candle should not be burned for more than four hours at a time.

  • Don’t burn a candle all the way down. For a margin of safety, discontinue burning a candle when 1/2 inch of wax remains in the container.

Sending a gift? Make it personal by including a gift message with your gift, no charge. Just let me know what you'd like to say in the order notes box in your cart or in the personalization box in the listing. I'll print it out onto card paper and include it with your gift.

If you'd like for me to ship your gifts directly to the recipient, just change the shipping address to theirs instead of yours. You'll need to place one separate order for each different address.

GREAT gift

This is a wonderful gift for book club members...gives a warm and cozy feel. Will order more in the future. The packaging is simple, which I happen to LOVE. Just opening them felt like a book hug. I couldn't be happier with them. Maker was helpful and easy to work with.
